IT'S only two minutes long, but Rafi Gordon's film brought a tear to the judge's eye.

The Manly youngster has just won the Reel Australia Short Film Competition junior division with his entry The Amazing Wildlife of Australia.

Not bad for an seven year old, competing with other film makers up to the age of 17 in the national competition.

Rafi's film includes Manly's water dragons and bluebottle jellyfish, as well as "bugs, worms and lizards".

It also features Manly Environment Centre's own Penguin Warden Angelica Treichler at her post at Manly Ferry wharf.

"My film is about wildlife in Australia and how people give up their time to save it. But I love wildlife and I don’t want the wildlife to die," Rafi said in the caption accompanying his film.

The film was selected to be shown in Hyde Park on Australia Day.  It can also be seen at the aussievault website.
