Manly Environment Centre is a unique example of local government, community and corporate cooperation. Streamwatch is a school based water quality monitoring and environmental education program that is run by both Sydney Water and the Department of Land and Water Conservation. It operates in over 260 school and community groups throughout NSW. Results of water quality tests are sent to the agencies via an electronic mail network known as Key link, sponsored by Testra Australia.
