Burnt Bridge Creek

BURNT BRIDGE CREEK RESTORATION

"A magnificent unalienated watershed is available there ..."
- Francis Meyer, 1880, "Beautiful Manly"
The natural attribute of Burnt Bridge Creek include sandstone banks and creekbeds, waterfalls and cascades, and a large natural pond (the Witches Glen) which, if restored, could do much to provide the natural "stormwater treatment" that other councils are currently constructing.

At a time when councils in the Western Suburbs are involved in projects such as "Restoring the Waters" which turns a drain into a creek, Manly Council has the unique opportunity to assist in the restoration of Burnt Bridge Creek in co-operation with Warringah Council, Sydney Water, the RTA, the Dept of Land and Water Conservation and other goverment agencies.
